Focus on Advent: Have you noticed? Bonfire night has passed...and now the retail Christmas Season has started! Advent doesn't get a look in! At least not unless we make time for it. So lets mark the season together. Not only in Sunday and Weekday Masses but by three meetings which will give us the chance to focus our sense of Advent "Waiting for the Lord".
Three Wednesday evenings in Advent we will focus attention on the three pillar figures of the Advent season. We will do this together as the parishes of Holy Family Warton, and St Anne's at Westby Mills.
Wednesday 4th December at Holy Family. The Prophet Isaiah.
Wednesday 11th December at St Anne's Presbytery. John the Baptist.
Wednesday 18th December at Holy Family. Our Blessed Lady.
Lets spend some time together waiting on The Lord whose birth we will celebrate in the Christmas season.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Times and locations.
To keep the centenary year in prayer Deaneries across the Diocese are asked to offer 40 Hours of prayer and devotions before the Blessed Sacrament. The parish priests of our Deanery (Kirkham) met to decide the best way to take this forward. We agreed to divide the 40 hours between our parishes so that each would offer a six hour span of adoration (usually 1-6pm) which would total forty hours. The dates and locations are as follows:
November 17th St Joseph’s Ansdell. If people are able to travel within the deanery, they are welcome to travel to all, or some, of these churches and to pray for the life of the Diocese of Lancaster in her centenary year and onwards. Undoubtedly the business of evangelising in our post-modern aggressively secular society will become more challenging for all who take up the call to be Catholic Christians but prayer is the best response we can have to that. Think of this prayer as fertilizer in the ground before the tree is planted (and I write that metaphor as Dr Death as far as vegetation is concerned!
NEW PARISHIONERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
We would love you to join us at St. Anne Church, Westby Mills which is located on Weeton Road, near Wrea Green and is a church where everyone is welcome. Sunday Mass is at 08.45am. Please see details below :
